Da Nang focuses on promoting development of smart pillars and fields
In an effort to realize the goals of digital transformation and building a smart city, Da Nang has set out 6 pillars and 16 smart areas. In particularly, the 6 pillars consist of smart governance, smart traffic, smart environment, smart life, smart economy and smart citizens. Till date, the city has basically implemented synchronously, with specific products in all these pillars.

Specifically, smart governance comprises a smart monitoring and control center, smart public services and open data.
Accordingly, the city has perfected the e-government platform, and the integration with Local Government Service Platform (LGSP) and National Integration Axis (NGSP).
Also, the Mini IOC centralized monitoring system, 6 basic smart city services according to the urban service pilot guidance of the Ministry of Information, and 12 other additional services such as water and air environment monitoring services, have been deployed.
The city's online public services portal at https://dichvucong.danang.gov.vn has been launched and connected to the National Public Service Portal. The rate of online public services provided at levels 3 and 4 in the city reaches nearly 97%. Around 60% of dossiers are handled online.
Smart economy consists of smart trade, smart tourism and smart agriculture. Accordingly, the city has built an e-commerce platform and mobile apps to help local businesses introduce and promote their products online. Till date, 2,582 products from more than 1,770 businesses have been sold on the e-commerce platform.
The city has actively deployed OCOP products (One Commune One Product) on the e-commerce platform, implemented virtual exhibition solutions and supported businesses and cooperatives to promote online sales.
In April 2022, the city coordinated with the municipal branch of the Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) to deploy the wet market 4.0 model at some major markets in the locality.
Besides, the city promoted the application of digital technologies in tourism by deploying the VR360 virtual tourism system ‘One touch to Da Nang’, a chatbot application to support tourists, s digital map, and online virtual travel fairs.
Meanwhile, smart life features smart education, smart health, food safety, emergency response and disaster prevention.
This pillar has recorded some outstanding results. In particularly, 100% commune and ward-level medical stations have applied electronic health applications, whilst electronic medical records and citywide patient code management have been deployed.
Currently, nearly 1.37 million people's data has been synchronized and integrated with 16 hospitals and 56 commune-level medical stations across the city. The city has built a database of restaurants and street eateries with food safety certificates and installed Rain sensors, water level gauges and warning devices.
As for smart environment, the city has built an integrated service platform for environmental monitoring and deployed environmental monitoring stations for surface water, wastewater, and air in the city.
With a regard to smart traffic, the city has established a traffic monitoring center with nearly 200 traffic control signals at intersections, piloted the function of measuring traffic through cameras, and installed nearly 300 smart traffic surveillance cameras.
Mr. Su Huy, Deputy General Director of the Tam Hop Nhat Technology JSC (Unitech) in Hai Chau District said that one of the key tasks set by Unitech is to develop products in service of the country's computerization. Therefore, the company has developed many products to serve digital transformation in State management agencies in Da Nang and other provinces and cities nationwide.
In the near future, Unitech will continue to improve deployed products, and apply advanced technologies to better serve users. At the same time, the enterprise continues to build new products, platforms, database systems, and integrated solutions.
Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Information and Communications Tran Ngoc Thach suggested the municipal government regularly review and evaluate data quality and usage, restructure the process to effectively use or inherit digital data, and consider the provision of digital services to people and businesses.
He informed that the Department will continue to coordinate with units and localities to effectively use and exploit specialized applications, databases, online public services, and at the same time promote domestic and international cooperation to support smart city building.
