Da Nang students win second prize at Loa Thanh Awards 2022

Two students, namely Pham Thanh Hung and Huynh Van Tai, from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Technical Education, the University of Da Nang, have won the second prize at the Loa Thanh Awards 2022 for their project on reasonable traffic arrangement solutions for approach roads to light signal-controlled intersections in Da Nang.

Their project has been highly appreciated for its high feasibility, contributing to limiting traffic congestion at intersections during rush hours, and resolving conflicts and rationally arranging turns on approach roads to light signal-controlled intersections in the city.

The annual Loa Thanh Awards is jointly organised by the Viet Nam Federation of Civil Engineering Associations, the Viet Nam Association of Architects, the Ministry of Construction, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.

It aims to honour the creativity and talents of graduates from architectural and engineering universities and junior colleges nationwide.

This year’s event attracted the participation of students from 23 universities throughout the country with 182 projects submitted in various fields including architecture-planning, civil engineering, traffic engineering, and infrastructure engineering, and others.
