Municipal-level Science and Technology Contest attracts 175 entries

The Da Nang Science and Technology Contest for Senior High School Pupils in the 2022-2023 academic year officially kicked off at the city-based Nguyen Khuyen Junior and Senior High School on Saturday.

Hosted by the municipal Department of Education and Training, this year’s contest attracts 327 pupils and 175 instructors from 31 participating units with a total of 175 projects. Of this, 62 projects are from junior high schools, whilst the remainder come from senior high schools and inter-schools. This year sees an increase of 17 in the number of participating projects compared to the previous contest.

To facilitate project appraisal, the municipal Department of Education and Training divides 22 categories into 5 sub-committees. Entries are displayed at the examination rooms according to each sub-committee. Contestants present their products and projects through slides and answer questions from the judges.

The contest’s organisers will select the best entries to participate in the national-level competition.

It is known that the Department of Education and Training has organized the municipal-level Science and Technology Contest for Senior High School Pupils for 12 consecutive years.
