Da Nang school for gifted pupils wins first prize at Informatics Olympiad in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions

The Viet Nam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology under the University of Da Nang in collaboration with relevant units, on Saturday, organised a closing ceremony for 4th Informatics Olympiad in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands region.

A total of 893 contestants who passed qualifying rounds competed in the final round in the contest in three categories of Super Cup, Informatics specialised, and Informatics non-specialised.

As a result, in the Super Cup category, the organisers gave out 3 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze medals, along with 6 consolation prizes.

In the Informatics specialized category, there were 17 gold medal, 35 silver medal, 54 bronze medal, and 27 consolation prize winners.

In the Informatics non-specialised category, a total of 34 gold, 63 silver and 89 bronze medals, plus 101 consolation prizes were presented to outstanding contestants.

With regard to prizes for the whole team category, the first prize went to the Da Nang-based Le Quy Don Senior High School for the Gifted. Meanwhile, the Nguyen Du Senior High School in Dak Lak Province, and the Trung Vuong Junior High School in Da Nang, took the second and third prizes respectively.

Gold, silver and bronze medal winners are given priority for direct university admission as well as other benefits according to the direct admission regulations of the Viet Nam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology and other universities with their own admission policies.
