Hoa Vang District props up 'green' schools model
As part of the project of building Hoa Vang into environmentally-friendly district for the 2021 - 2025 period with a vision to 2030, the district’s administration has coordinated with Centre for Adaptive Capacity Building Research (CAB) to publicise the significance of environmental protection and green school building model at the Hoa Tien 2 Primary School.

In the past 8 years, 19 schools in Hoa Vang District have participated in the green school building model, including Hoa Tien 2 Primary School.
Currently, the Hoa Tien 2 Primary School and 4 others of its kind are maintainning this model and implement more criteria with higher requirements, meeting new regulations of the Law on Environmental Protection in 2020, in order to have a basis for replication in the district in the coming time.
The model of building a green school is a collection of activities that meet the criteria in terms of green trees, clean water, and land environment, waste management, wastewater and sanitation, natural resource and energy saving; school yard facilities, classrooms, working rooms.
Particularly at the Hoa Tien 2 Primary School, over the past years, the school has mobilised more than VND 201 million to invest in a green school building model, of which over VND 27 million was from individuals and organisations in the community to upgrade works in service of environmental protection.
