The new platform aggregats information from more than 100 major press agencies, 63 portals of provinces/cities and other data sources to update and provide information quickly and multi-dimensionally about Viet Nam

The website aims to target a broad range of foreign readers by utilising Google's automatic translation support tool, which automatically translates all content into six languages: English, French, Spanish, Russian, German, and Japanese. These languages will default to the reader's choice during their next visit. The translated content is also edited to ensure accuracy.

Apart from providing official information, the website also features continuously updated local information in the Destinations category, beautiful images and videos of Viet Nam in the Multimedia category, digitised versions of Viet Nam in digital space in the Vietnam 3D category, and a Figure section that showcases typical faces of the public.

On the occasion of the launch of the platform, the Department of External Information also launched the ‘Happy Viet Nam 2023’ contest themed ‘For Everyone's Happiness’. The photo and video clip contest is open to all Vietnamese people and foreigners around the world.

The contest aims to encourage collectives and individuals to promote beautiful images of Viet Nam with a prize structure of up to VND400 million.

Entries must introduce the beauty of nature and people throughout the regions of the country; and reflects Viet Nam's achievements in the process of renovation, development, and international integration, especially in the fields of economy, trade, investment and tourism.

The deadline for entry submission is the end of September 15, 2023.
