The central theme of the University of Da Nang (UDN) in 2023 is ‘promoting business cooperation and international cooperation’. On the basis, UDN’s member universities and training units have carried out many activities to promote the cooperation and connection with enterprises.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Huu Phuc, Rector of the University of Foreign Language Studies (UFLS), said that boosting the school-enterprise cooperation was one of the university's training orientations, aiming to raise students’ awareness, create extra motivation for them to learn, and equip them with necessary skills for professional working environment in the near future.

Since the beginning of the year, UFLS has organised nearly a dozen talk shows helping to connect students with business leaders or experts in many fields.

Particularly, the talk show ‘How to grow your mind for lasting success’ in mid-April-2023 attracted over 300 students.

Mr. Gentzsch André Pierre, General Manager of Ariyana Tourism Complex, who is a speaker at the talk show, remarked there are many job opportunities at large tourism corporations, so it is important for students to develop a roadmap and specific plan to achieve their set goals.

Meanwhile, the Viet Nam-UK Institute for Research & Executive Education in Da Nang (VNUK) has hosted a seminar entitled ‘Career prospects and financial management experience’ with the participation of experts from the Marriott International Vietnam Group.

During the event, participating students have been provided with useful knowledge related to professional organisation and operation processes in international hotel management. Also, they have been guided how to make plans and financial strategies, and manage projects and cash.

Dr. Nguyen Thi My Huong, Director of VNUK said, her unit always strived to provide an inspiring and creative academic environment for students. Through connection activities between the school and businesses, VNUK is always looking for internship and job experience opportunities for students.

Having access to the world famous hotel operation management brand, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, a student majoring in International Business and Management of the VNUK has a closer look at the ‘financial picture’ in the hospitality industry as well as career opportunities from such big hotels as Sheraton Grand Danang Resort & Convention Centre, Four Points by Sheraton Danang, and Danang Marriott Resort & Spa.

Moreover, with the need of between 1,000 and 2,000 IT personnel in the 2025-2030 period, schools and training institutions are taking advantage of the companionship of enterprises to improve quality of education.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, Rector of the Viet Nam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology, affirmed that the university is strengthening connections with FPT Software in the Central region to train and develop high-quality IT human resources with a focus on implementing the Korean IT engineer training programme.

In the coming time, the two sides will complete the cooperation content to meet the human resource needs of South Korean enterprises and FPT Software in Central Viet Nam as well in the fields of information technology, digital technology and digital transformation.
