The Da Nang General Science Library and the city’s Social Work Centre, on Wednesday, signed a cooperation agreement on developing reading culture and promoting communications on social work services and child protection in 2023.

Under the agreement, the two units will organise some common activities, including displaying communication products with contents about social work services and child protection, periodically showing trailers/clips on social work and child protection, organising seminars on social work services and child protection, receiving information and connecting cases in need, introducing children’s books, and organising activities to develop reading culture in the communes of Hoa Lien, Hoa Phu and Hoa Son in Hoa Vang District.

Activities will be carried out from now until late December at the Da Nang General Science Library and the three above-mentioned communes.

The purpose is to develop a reading culture and raise awareness among students and parents about social work and child protection services, as well as provide timely and appropriate early intervention and support for children who are abused, or at risk of being abused or bullied (including cyber bullying), thereby contributing to building a safe, healthy and friendly living environment for children.
