Promoting reading culture among military officers, men and locals in maritime border areas
The Da Nang General Science Library, on Thursday, presented over 1,000 books and information documents to local border guard stations. These books will be rotated to border guard stations every 6 months.

To mark this occasion, the library gave the Phu Loc Border Guard Station 165 books to add to the law bookcase and marine cultural residential areas in Thanh Khe District.
The move aimed to develop the reading movement in the community, and to raise awareness of officials, soldiers and locals in the maritime border areas about the great meaning and importance of reading.
This was also an opportunity to promote the value of books; affirm the position, role and importance of books in social life; as well as honour the readers and those involved in the collection, composition, publication, printing, distribution and preservation of books.
