The Da Nang Association of Charities and Children's Rights Protection, on Tuesday, awarded scholarships to 58 poor studious students in the city in the 2022-2023 school year.

Funded by the Siloam organisation, the scholarships, totalling VND96 million, were part of the project on supporting education for disadvantaged students in Da Nang.

In addition, the Association gave gifts, worth VND200,000 each, to 8 poor students who overcame their difficulties to study well.

On the occasion, the Da Nang branch of the Viet Nam Institute of Safety Science organised training courses on enhancing knowledge and skills in drowning prevention and control, and firefighting skills, for students.
