'Learning never ends' scholarships given to needy pupils in Central Viet Nam - Central Highlands
A total of 250 people, both children and adults, from 16 provinces and cities in the Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions were granted with the “Learning never ends” scholarship by the Viet Nam Association for Promoting Education (VAPE) in Da Nang on Friday.
Among the beneficiaries, there were 165 school pupils and 85 adults. In terms of age, the youngest was a second grader from Khanh Hoa Province and the oldest 84 years old was from Da Nang's Thanh Khe District.

All have strived to overcome difficulties and illnesses to pursue learning and reap good outcomes, according to the VAPE.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan assessed that over recent years, the Central Committee of the VAPE and its chapters at all levels have made efforts to renovate activities and actively advised the State to issue guidelines and policies on study and talent promotion.
Most recently, the VAPE has coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Training to advise the Prime Minister to launch a learning emulation movement throughout the country, spreading many learning models, and enthusiastically responded by all classes of people. This has contributed to raising people's intellectual level, fostering human resources, and training talents to drive the country's socio-economic development.

According to the Vice President, the fourth industrial revolution brought many new advantages to study promotion work, and also poses many difficulties and challenges. She, therefore, underlined a necessity to promote internal resources, in which human resources are the most important, having an important meaning in the development of the country.
She hoped that the scholarship receivers and many other typical examples throughout the country would continue to promote and spread the spirit of studiousness and lifelong learning, making the movement “Learning never ends” according to President Ho Chi Minh's thought and example to develop widely in society and bring about greater effectiveness.
