Da Nang tops Viet Nam ICT Index 2022

Da Nang has come out top of the Viet Nam ICT Index 2022, the ranking on the readiness for information and communications technology development and applications.

Da Nang has scored 0.9094 points on the 1-point scale, followed by Can Tho with 0.6808, and Quang Ninh with 0.6706.

The results have been announced by the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry under the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Viet Nam Association for Information Processing.

As for component indexes, Da Nang has scored 0.97 points in technical infrastructure index, and 0.77 points in human infrastructure and information technology application indexes.

In the category of technical infrastructure, Da Nang has taken lead with 0.9654 points, of which it has scored 0.9308 points in term of the technical infrastructure index in society (3rd out of the 63 provinces and cities) and got the maximum score in term of the technical infrastructure index among local State-run agencies (the first place).

The city has ranked second in human infrastructure index with 0.7729 points, of which social- human infrastructure index is 0.9706 points and human infrastructure index in State agencies is 0.5753 points.

In the category of IT applications, Da Nang has led with a score of 0.99 points. In particular, the city has got the maximum score in the internal IT application within local State-run agencies. Meanwhile, it has finished in second place in terms of the IT application through online public services with 0.98 points.

The city has ranked 6th place in the IT industry index with 0.0844 points, of which the production index is 0.0815 points, the service index 0.0117 and the business index 0.2356 points.

This is the 13th time that Da Nang has topped the ICT Index in the country. Previously, Da Nang led the index for 12 consecutive years from 2009-2020. As for the 2021 ICT Index, the organisers do not conduct surveys and rankings.
