Hoang Hoa Tham Senior High School celebrates 60th founding anniversary

On Friday, Da Nang-located Hoang Hoa Tham Senior High School held a ceremony to celebrate its 60th founding anniversary (1963-2023). In attendance were Permanent Deputy Secretary of Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Head of the Da Nang Party Committee’s Organising Board Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Vice Chairman of municipal People’s Committee Tran Chi Cuong, and former teachers and students.

The Hoang Hoa Tham Senior High School, formerly known as Dong Giang school, that was established in 1963. In 1975, the school changed its name to Hoang Hoa Tham school.

Along with the development of the city, and Son Tra District in particular, the Hoang Hoa Tham school has also changed every day, receiving strong support from the education sector, with the development of new synchronous facilities that meet the growing requirements of education in the new era.

After 60 years of construction and development, the school has reaped many proud achievements, affirming its position and becoming one of the key schools in the city's education and training sector.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Cuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements made by the school's teachers and students over the past 60 years.

At the same time, he emphasised that the requirements of educational innovation and the 4.0 scientific revolution require schools to always innovate, be creative, and continue to preserve and promote the tradition of good teaching and learning, continuously improve the quality of education and build an increasingly strong school.

Vice Chairman Cuong requested the school to closely follow and effectively implement programs, projects and plans approved by all levels, focus on improving the quality of comprehensive education, discovering and fostering excellent and gifted students, as well as building a team of teachers with higher qualifications to effectively implement the new educational programme.

To mar this occasion, the school was awarded a emulation flag by the Da Nang People's Committee for recognising the construction and development achievements recorded by the Hoang Hoa Tham school over the six decades.
