All pupils from primary to high schools across Da Nang have been allowed to be off school on October 16 following the fresh approval of the municipal Department of Education and Training.

The municipal Department of Education and Training requires schools to arrange staff on duty around the clock according to the motto "4 on the spot", as well as regularly update information on the current heavy rain situation.

The schools are asked to proactively do cleanup operations when the rainwater recedes and the rain stops.

In case the bad weather situation continues to be complicated and prolonged, the department will issue a follow-up urgent notice for pupils to be off school to ensure safety.

Meanwhile, the University of Da Nang has assigned its member universities and affiliated units to proactively decide to give students, trainees, officials and employees time off from school and work to ensure safety, especially those in low-lying areas.
