During the 3-month summer vacation, the Center had their classrooms and treatment rooms repainted; air conditioners and fans added; and damaged sleeping beds and playing areas repaired.

At the same time, functional rooms at the center were rearranged to ensure the compatibility with the characteristics and number of students.

Ms. Dang Thanh Tung, Deputy Director of the Center, said that aside from repairing facilities and purchasing new equipment, during the summer, the Center's teachers participated in training classes and seminars to improve their expertise and professionalism.

Before the new school year, staff of the Center cleaned up and sprayed disinfectant to prevent epidemics to ensure safety for pupils.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, a total of 268 special pupils (hearing impaired, visually impaired, and intellectually disabled) are studying at the Center.

Moreover, the Center provides integration support for nearly 50 pupils with disabilities. In particular, before the new school year, the Center organised the conversion of textbooks from bright letters to braille to serve the learning of visually impaired students.

In order to help its pupils acquire and develop themselves, the Center also organises classes on self-care, self-service and sales skills, and flower making techniques.

The Center has also coordinated with the Medipeace Organisation to support the Center in renovating and building a new playground for students so they can practice skills and improve their health.

“In the new school year, the Center will organise many outdoor and fun activities in appropriate forms for special pupils to participate and experience. The biggest wish is that the Center can expand classrooms and recruit more quality teachers to create a good learning environment, ensuring that all children have the best conditions to go to school", Deputy Director Center Dang Thanh Tung added.
