Da Nang’s schools will close for one day for New Year 2024 and 10 days for Tet Festival 2024, announced by the Da Nang Department of Education and Training on Thursday.

Accordingly, civil servants, public employees, and workers in education and training sector, along with preschoolers, pupils and students will have one day off on January 1, 2024 for New Year holiday.

Officials, civil servants, public employees and workers of state-run administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organisations, socio-political organisations and state sector workers will take the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday from February 8 - 14, 2024.

Preschool children, pupils, students and trainees will have a 10-day break from February 5 - 14, 2024.

Between February 5 and 7, preschools citywide can organise teaching and child care activities according to the agreement between the school and parents but must be in a voluntary spirit and parents' child care needs.

Private universities, based on the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training, proactively decide the leave time of officials, teachers, employees and students.
