With their great passion for technology, Phan Dinh Khoi, Vo Dac Bao An and Le Ngoc Bao Anh from the Faculty of Information Technology of the Da Nang University of Science and Technology have gradually conquered national and international programming competitions.

Not only do they share a passion for programming, all three have remarkable academic achievements.

Le Ngoc Bao Anh, a former pupil of the Le Quy Don Senior High School for the Gifted, won the first prize for the National Excellent Student Contest in Informatics and was admitted directly to the University of Science and Technology.

Meanwhile, Phan Dinh Khoi won the Silver medals in the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Asia Pacific Championship for two consecutive years (ICPC Asia Hanoi-2021, ICPC Asia Ho Chi Minh-2022).

The outstanding impression of the past school year was when all three worked together in the BKDN.LeaderTurnsBack team.

After beating more than 400 teams from universities and institutes nationwide, BKDN.LeaderTurnsBack was the only team to solve 11 out of the 13 problems in the national round, becoming the excellent team champion of the ICPC Vietnam in 2023.

In addition, BKDN.LeaderTurnsBack was honoured to be the representative of Viet Nam to win bronze medal at ICPC Asia held in Jarkata, Indonesia, and the silver medal at ICPC Asia held in Thua Thien Hue. With this result, the team won a ticket to attend the ICPC Asia-Pacific finals.

Phan Dinh Khoi said international competitions like ICPC provided a good opportunity for him and his teammates to hone their skills in programming, problem solving, teamwork and time management, and apply knowledge into practice.

“Furthermore, we can exchange and learn from other teams across the Asia-Pacific region" Khoi shared.

Le Ngoc Bao Anh said "With the first prize in the National Excellent Student Contest in Informatics, I can apply to many schools. But I find that the Da Nang University of Science and Technology is really a suitable for me to continue to develop my computer skills".

Dr. Pham Minh Tuan, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Information Technology, said that in addition to his achievements with the BKDN.LeaderTurnsBack team, Bao Anh also excellently won the third Super Cup at the Viet Nam Informatics Olympic Competition in 2023.

The achievements of the teams not only contribute to promoting and spreading the learning movement of students but are also a source of motivation and inspiration for other students.

The three students are like "lighthouses" that not only shine, representing the generation of students in the 4.0 era who are always passionate about learning, but also contribute to cultivating the reputation of the University of Da Nang after 30 years of building and development.

Not satisfied with the results and achievements, Le Ngoc Bao Anh, Phan Dinh Khoi and Vo Dac Bao An will continue to make efforts to improve their knowledge and skills in order to conquer new challenges on the journey to discover information technology knowledge.
