Son Tra District People's Committee and the Da Nang branch of the Viet Nam Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel Da Nang) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on digital transformation during the 2024-2025 period on Thursday.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Son Tra District People's Committee and Viettel Da Nang took place on Thursday.

The agreement aims to mobilise the resources of the two parties to promote overall and comprehensive digital transformation from State agencies, to people, and businesses in terms of approaches, ways of working, and methods of production and consumption based on digital technology.

Accordingly, Viettel Da Nang will support Son Tra District in building and implementing a digital transformation project with 3 pillars of digital government, digital economy and digital society.

At the same time, Viettel Da Nang will deploy technical infrastructure in Son Tra District such as internet lines, specialised data, a local area network (LAN) at ward-level People's Committees, public Wi-Fi access points at community house, and traffic monitoring cameras.

In addition, Viettel Da Nang will advise and implement comprehensive digital transformation at wards, as well as train and raise awareness for leaders, officials, civil servants, public employees, and youth union members in the building of e-government and and the implementation of digital transformation.

Besides, Viettel will coordinate with Son Tra District to communicate and support solutions to promote online payment and e-commerce activities, thereby contributing to the formation of digital citizens and digital society.
