UD has coordinated with its partners to successfully host many prestigious international events and conferences, bringing together hundreds of international scientists and experts. Especially, UD has invited Professor Gerard't Hooft who won Nobel Prize in Physics in 1999 to visit and give scientific talk to local university staff, lecturers, and students. Furthermore, importance has been attached to inviting over 80 scientists and professors from prestigious universities under the Ulysseus European University Alliances to attend a conference on Smart City Development.

Member universities of UD have also frequently organized international conferences. Included were an international conference on Water Resources and Coastal Engineering at the Polytechnic University, an international conference on Knowledge Engineering and Systems at the University of Education, conference on applying information technology into teaching and learning foreign languages at the University of Foreign Languages, international conference on application of new technology into green buildings at the University of Technical Education, international conference on Semiconductor and 5G, 6G at the Viet Nam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology.

As a research-driven university, the University of Economics always creates the most favorable conditions for its staff, lecturers and students to conduct scientific research. The school's scientific research activities focus on academic research and applied research, consulting and opponents of social policies. Hosting prestigious scientific conferences at national and international levels has been the highlight of the school in recent years.

According to Associate Professor, PhD. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, the Vice Principal of the University of Economics, the school annually hosts between 10 and 12 seminars, including seminars that have built a reputation in the scientific community. Included are annual international seminar on Accounting and Finance (ICOAF) which has taken place since 2015, annual international conference on Management and Business (COMB) which has been held since 2013, annual conference to announce the Annual Report on the economic situation of Da Nang in 2022 and 2023. These conferences have gradually connected and cooperated with domestic and foreign partners on training and conducting scientific research.

For example, the ICYREB international conference for young scientists (under 40 years of age) which has been held in Da Nang since 2015 is considered to be an annual forum of ten best Vietnamese schools in economics and business administration training, thereby contributing to strengthening research capacity of the university’s lecturers and its students. The University of Economics is among the top 6 Vietnamese universities for economics and business with highest number of international scientific publications (70 scientific articles per year published in WoS and Scopus Journals on average).

All international seminars have been co-organized by the University of Economics along with at least 2 foreign partners, plus prestigious associations and professional organizations. The speakers of the seminars have been leading domestic and international scientists and experts, contributing to enhancing the quality and prestige of these events. Furthermore, the school has focused on encouraging the active involvement of intellectuals for policy consultation through organizing seminars in an effort to contribute wisdom and solutions to socio-economic development in Da Nang and other Vietnamese localities. Included were seminar on developing the service sector in the process of modernization and the industrial revolution in Viet Nam until 2030, with a vision to 2045, and the first-ever Viet Nam Economics Conference.

In its efforts to promote international integration and internationalization of higher education, UD has been signing and implementing hundreds of memorandums of understanding with a focus on international exchange programs featuring academic and cultural exchange in a bid to attract international students and interns from countries and territories around the world. In the midst of the journey to connect the world heritage sites in Central Viet Nam, UN is truly a reliable destination for scientists in order to help Da Nang join the global elite.
