More than 700 programmers and tech lovers across Da Nang took part in the Google I/O Extended Mien Trung 2024 on Saturday.

Themed “Sync4Success”, the event was jointly organised by the Google Developer Mien Trung, the Swinburne University Vietnam, and some businesses.

This is the eighth time the event has been held in Da Nang. The annual Google I/O Extended Mien Trung is dedicated to the soft developer community in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions. It is a local version of the Google I/O, an annual developer conference held by Google in Mountain View, California.

Th provided participants with the opportunity to not only update Google's latest technologies but also discuss many topics to suit the needs of each locality.

Aside from main workshops, there were sharing sessions from domestic and foreign Google speakers, thereby bringing to the event stories about technology startups, and how to build a personal brand and develop a career path.

Notably, participating programmers had a chance to learn and practice GenAI and Gemini artificial intelligence applications directly under the guidance of experts, with learning resources provided for free from Google.

Moreover, Google I/O Extended MienTrung 2024 featured an exhibition of booths by information technology companies and technology startups such as Paradox and Ecomdy.
