Accordingly, the young overseas Vietnamese have learned about Viet Nam's seas and islands in general and about the Hoang Sa Archipelago in particular, as well as have watched documentary films about the process of exploring, establishing, enforcing and protecting Viet Nam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa Archipelago through historical periods. This, thereby, helps the young people have accurate information to introduce to international friends about Viet Nam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa Archipelago.

The visit has been part of the ongoing Viet Nam Summer Camp 2024 for young overseas Vietnamese themed "The country is full of joy" organised by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Held for the first time in 2003, the annual summer camp aims to foster connections between Vietnamese youth abroad and their homeland.

The Viet Nam Summer Camp 2024 is taking place from July 14 - 29 across various locations in northern, central, and southern Vietnam. It features a range of enriching activities, including paying homage to ancestors and fallen heroes, engaging in cultural exchanges with Vietnamese youth, learning about Vietnamese history, culture and traditions.
