Within the framework of the opening ceremony of the Da Nang Innovation Startup Festival - SURF 2024 on Friday morning, the municipal Department of Science and Technology in collaboration with Quest Ventures, a Singapore-based investment fund, launched the "Da Nang - Singapore Innovation Space".

Accordingly, the Da Nang - Singapore Innovation Space is located at the building Block 71 in Singapore. This place is expected to create new ideas, explore smart solutions and promote sustainable development for both sides. At the same time, it is the place where researchers, entrepreneurs and startups/projects can interact, learn and cooperate, and seek sustainable development orientations.

Previously, as part of the Da Nang Venture and Angel Summit (DAVAS) 2024 in early June 2024, the municipal Department of Science and Technology coordinated with Quest Venture to launch Quest Ventures' innovation collaboration space in Da Nang. The space is positioned in the Viet Nam Innovation Hub building at 179 Tran Hung Dao Street, An Hai Bac Ward, Son Tra District.

The Innovation and Startup Support Centre under the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology signed a cooperation agreement with the Sunwah Innovations Company Limited on supporting connections and exchanges between the Da Nang and Hong Kong (China) ecosystems

Also at the event, the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology and the FPT University Da Nang inked an innovation and startup cooperation agreement.

Under the deal, the two sides will focus on organising training courses for students to foster and improve their level of science and technology, and innovation and startup; guiding the development of training programmes on innovation and startup for students, software human resources and digital content to serve resources for startups; and connecting innovative ideas and products of students with businesses in need.

Similarly, the Innovation and Startup Support Centre under the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology signed a cooperation agreement with the Sunwah Innovations Company Limited.

Accordingly, they will together support connections and exchanges between the Da Nang and Hong Kong (China) ecosystems, boost investment promotion activities, and develop product markets for innovative startups on both sides.

Additionally, the two parties will actively support startups, organisations, incubators, and investors in Da Nang to connect with the startup ecosystem in Hong Kong (China) and vice versa. Notably, a Hong Kong (China) innovation space will be set up in Da Nang, whilst the Da Nang innovation space will be established in Hong Kong (China), aimed to serve the innovative startup community on both sides.
