Quang Nam pupils win first prize at 2024 Da Nang robot contest

Team Tech Warriors from the Nguyen Hue Senior High School based in Quang Nam Province won the top prize at the Da Nang Open Robot Contest 2024 for Senior High Schools.

The final round and awards ceremony for the contest was held at the Son Tra Senior High School in Da Nang’s Son Tra District on Saturday.

The second prize went to the Cedrus Light team from the city-based Tran Phu Senior High School.

In addition, a third, a consolation, 2 fair play, and 4 promising prizes were given to outstanding teams.

The 2024 Da Nang Open Robot Contest for Senior High Schools was jointly organised by the city’s Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Education and Training, the Youth Union and the University of Science and Technology.

It attracted 22 teams from senior high schools in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province.

After 2 days of exciting competition, the 8 best teams in the qualifying round entered the final round of with a spirit of solidarity, creativity, and utmost effort.

The robots in the competition had high technical and aesthetic qualities, operated flexibly and effectively, and had the ability to move quickly and accurately. In particular, some teams were creative in making compact, flexible wireless control robots, bringing the audience eye-catching and convincing competitions.

On the occasion, the contest’s organisers launched the theme of the 2025 robot contest as "August Glory" to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution, and to educate patriotism and revolutionary traditions for the younger generation.
