52 Vietnamese nationals receive scholarships for study in Australia
Fifty-two Vietnamese people have won Australia Awards Scholarships and will undertake studies at the Australian universities of their choice.
The awardees, drawn from central and provincial governments, non-government organisations, academic institutions, and the private sector, will undertake study across a range of topics, including agriculture, digital transformation, climate change, energy, governance, gender equality, disability, health and human rights.
This year, Australia grants an additional 12 scholarships for ASEAN students. The initiative aims at strengthening people to people links between Australia and ASEAN countries, empowering young leaders to tackle regional challenges and enhance collaborative partnerships across Southeast Asia.
Australia Awards are prestigious international scholarships and fellowships funded by the Australian Government. They offer the next generation of global leaders an opportunity to undertake study, research and professional development.
Especially, the Australian Government actively encourages and supports people with disabilities, from disadvantaged rural areas and from ethnic minorities to participate in the Australia Awards.
The new scholars are the latest of over 7,500 Vietnamese students who have received Australian Government scholarships.
