Construction starts on Da Nang University's technical infrastructure sub-project 1
On Monday, work started on a series of key infrastructure parts which were under sub-project 1 on building technical infrastructure and urgent works for the University of Da Nang in Hoa Quy - Dien Ngoc.

The level 3 technical infrastructure work covers an area of 49 hectares in the planning area for the construction of the University of Da Nang in Hoa Quy Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District. The total construction cost is expected to be more than VND 300 billion.
The focus will be on levelling land of about 32 hectares; building 8 inner traffic routes with total length of 4,750m, a rainwater drainage system of 8,300m in length, a wastewater drainage system of 4,500m in length, and a waste water treatment station with capacity of 275m3/day; and installing water supply and fire protection system of nearly 5,000m in length, power supply system with a medium voltage cable line of about 3,200m in length, and systems of lighting, communications and modern surveillance cameras.

The sub-project 1 would use VND 2.760 trillion in funding (US$170 million), of which US$98 million in loans will come from the World Bank, and nearly US$20 million from domestic counterpart capital.
The Prime Minister approved the Da Nang University Urban Area project in 2020, and the Minister of Education and Training gave a nod for the sub-project 1 with a total investment of over US$117 million.
The project aims to develop the University of Da Nang into an international standard centre for training, scientific research and technology development, as well as upgrade it into a National University according to the policy and tasks defined in the spirit of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the North Central and Central Coast regions to 2030 with a vision to 2045, and the Politburo’s Conclusion No. 79-KL/TW on continuing to implement Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW on building and developing Da Nang to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
