"A Corner of Polish Books" at Da Nang University of Science and Education
The University of Science and Education - the University of Da Nang held a ceremony on Thursday to receive the model of “A Corner of Polish Books” from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland.

The “A Corner of Polish Books” featured 514 books on culture, education, science, and technology. Among them are many famous literary works such as "Chopin - Life and Times", "Great Minds - Marie Curie", and "The Emperor" by Ryszard Kapuściński.
In addition, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland presented 120 souvenirs imbued with Polish cultural significance to students and lecturers of the school.

Speaking at the book handover ceremony, Mr. Piotr Frieske - Honourary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Da Nang, expressed his pride in the friendship between Viet Nam and Poland. He was also pleased to see the interest of the Vietnamese people, including lecturers and students of the University of Science and Education, in Polish literature and culture.
He emphasised that these books will become a bridge to help university students have the opportunity to explore Poland through each page of the book, contributing to arousing the passion for reading among students.
The University of Science and Education is one of the five universities in Viet Nam selected to receive books within the framework of the "A Corner of Polish Books" project implemented by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland. Other “corners" are located at universities in Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh and Hai Phong.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Principal of the university, thanked the Polish Embassy for the meaningful gift to the school, affirming that the model will help enhance academic exchanges and create opportunities for the university’s students to have more research and study materials. On behalf of the Board of Directors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu pledged to effectively use the “Corner of Polish Books”.
The “Corner of Polish Books” is located in the library, facilitating all lecturers, students and researchers to easily access. The university will also organise activities to promote and exploit the value of this book corner such as seminars, academic exchanges and related cultural events, etc.
On the occasion, the representative of the Polish Embassy also awarded 18 outstanding students participating in the “Polish Book Review” contest launched by the Polish Embassy.
