As of 5 pm on 11 March, the number of confirmed coronavirus (known as Covid-19) cases around the world had jumped to 118,806. Confirmed cases in South Korean had exceeded 7,700. In total, 10,149 cases of the virus had been reported in Italy.

Viet Nam has reported 38 confirmed coronavirus cases till date. 16 among them have fully recovered from the infection, and have been discharged from hospital. Most of the new cases in Viet Nam relate to a 26-year-old woman in Ha Noi who became the 17^th infected patient in the country.

Meanwhile, Da Nang has confirmed three cases of the novel coronavirus so far, and the city has kept 54 people suspected of having the virus in isolation.
