As of 10.00 am on 1 May, the number of confirmed coronavirus (known as Covid-19) cases around the world has jumped to 3,305,806.

Viet Nam recorded no new case of Covid-19 on Friday morning, with the number of cases standing at 270, according to the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control. The country has reported no cases of coronavirus transmitted via the local community for 15 days since 6am on April 16. Among patients under treatment at hospitals, 10 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, and five negative for at least twice.
