Covid-19 updates on 11 May

As of 6.00 pm on 11 May, the number of confirmed coronavirus (known as Covid-19) cases around the world has jumped to 4,200,953.

Viet Nam recorded no new Covid-19 cases on Monday afternoon, marking the 25th straight day with no cases of community transmission, the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control announced. The total number of confirmed cases in the country remained at 288, including 148 imported cases who were put into quarantine for 2 weeks after arrival in Viet Nam and 140 cases of community transmission. Till date, the country has reported no deaths from the disease. In total, 241 patients or 84 percent were declared fully recovered. The remaining 47 cases are being treated at health facilities nationwide, of whom four tested negative for the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 once and 13 negative at least twice.

Thus far six people have been diagnosed with the disease in Da Nang, and all of them have been cleared of the virus.
