Covid-19 updates on 18 May

As of 4.30 pm on 18 May, the number of confirmed coronavirus (known as Covid-19) cases around the world has jumped to 4,818,025.

No new COVID-19 cases were recorded overnight in Viet Nam, and the country has remained unchanged in its case numbers at 320, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control announced on Monday. In particular, the country has stopped community transmission of COVID-19 for 32 straight days. In total, 180 of those confirmed cases were classed as "imported" which were quarantined after arrival in Viet Nam. Overall, 263 patients have recovered from the virus, and there have been no deaths till date. Two of the 60 remainders still under treatment have tested negative once for the virus, and 12 others negative at least twice.

Thus far six people have been diagnosed with the disease in Da Nang, and all of them have been cleared of the virus.
