Covid-19 updates on 3 May
As of 10.30 am on 3 May, the number of confirmed coronavirus (known as Covid-19) cases around the world has jumped to 3,483,935.
Viet Nam recorded no new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday morning, making 17th straight day since April 16 with no cases of coronavirus transmitted via the local community, according to the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control. Of the 270 confirmed cases in Viet Nam, 130 are imported cases who were quarantined upon their arrival. In total, 219 patients, or 81 percent, have made a full recovery from the illness, while 51 others are being treated at medical establishments nationwide. Twelve of these patients were tested negative for the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 once, and nine others tested negative twice or more.
Thus far six people have been diagnosed with the disease in Da Nang, and all of them have been cleared of the virus.
