As of 11 am on 31 May, the number of confirmed coronavirus (known as Covid-19) cases around the world has jumped to 6,156,914.

Viet Nam reported no new confirmed cases overnight and the country has remained unchanged in its case numbers at 328 as of 6am on Sunday, the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has announced. There has been no community transmission of the disease in the country for 45 days. Overall, 279 patients, or 85 percent of the total confirmed cases in Viet Nam, have recovered from the disease, and there have been no coronavirus deaths in Viet Nam till date.

Thus far six people have been diagnosed with the disease in Da Nang, and all of them have been cleared of the virus.
