Da Nang will begin blocking signals for non-compliant 2G mobile phones in September this year according to the roadmap to fully phase out the 2G mobile network in Viet Nam. The Da Nang People's Committee has submitted a proposal to the municipal People's Council to issue a resolution defining the policy to support poor and near-poor households in purchasing smartphones. The proposal has been approved at the 19^th session of the Da Nang People's Council in its 10^th tenure for the 2021-2026 term.
