According to Decision 2345/QĐ-NHNN dated December 18, 2023 by the State Bank of Viet Nam on implementing safety and security measures in online and bank card payments, transfers of over VND10 million require biometric authentication such as fingerprints and facial recognition starting July 1, 2024. As a result, fraudsters impersonate bank employees to contact customers to request "support" for biometric installation to appropriate customers' assets and information. Therefore, all customers must be cautious and alert to protect your personal information and bank accounts from increasingly sophisticated fraud schemes.
