The pink lotus, Viet Nam’s national flower, symbolises the beauty and purity of Vietnamese women.  When bathed in early summer sunshine, the flowers are in full bloom and their pleasant aromas fill the air around the lotus ponds.

Schoolgirls are most charming, graceful and gentle when they are seen among the lotus flowers wearing their traditional Ao Dai.
