This year’s Doan Ngo Festival, also known as the festival of killing internal insects, fell on 12 June (the 5th day of the 5th lunar month).  Many people believe that soaking in seawater on this occasion will bring them good luck and happiness in their lives.  In addition, it is considered to be one of most effective treatments for many skin diseases.  

For these reasons, Da Nang’s beaches, including My Khe, T20, and Nguyen Tat Thanh, were crowded from early yesterday morning through into the evening.
