Son Tra Peninsula - then and now

DA NANG Today
Published: August 01, 2013

Da Nang’s Son Tra Peninsula was named Monkey Mountain by US troops because there were many monkeys on the mountain during the war years of the 1960s.

The past 40 years have witnessed a rapid change in the peninsula, with its beautiful landscapes and high-end holiday resorts and amusement areas along the beaches.  Visitors to the peninsula will be fascinated by the extensive green-covered mountains and the winding roads.

Danang Today would like to share with our readers some photos, sourced from the internet or taken by our reporters Dac Manh and Van No, which reflect the beauty of the peninsula today as compared with the 1960s.
