Quite, peaceful atmosphere on first day of Tet

DA NANG Today
Published: February 02, 2014

In contrast to Da Nang's crowded streets during the Lunar New Year's Eve celebrations, the city became very quiet in the early morning of the first day of Tet Festival.  The main reason was that local residents visited their grandparents and relatives outside the city, and the tombs of their relatives there.

However, the city’s pagodas were filled with people who wanted to pray for peace and prosperity through the year.

Here are some photos, taken by our reporter Quynh Trang, which reflect the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the city during the 1st day of Tet.
