Vietnamese women have made a significant contribution to the defence of the nation against invaders in the past.

During the wars, they were actively involved in many brave activities, including defending revolutionary bases, supporting revolutionary military soldiers, protecting those who were wounded, building roads, and carrying ammunition to the battlefields despite the numerous dangers.

To commemorate the great contribution of women to the nation, a number of monuments have been built across the country.

Danang Today would like to share with our readers some photos of heroic Vietnamese women who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence and freedom.  These photos were taken by local reporter Nhan Mui.
