Reporter Dac Manh from the Da Nang Newspaper made a trip from 10 - 16 May to Viet Nam’s territorial waters where China has illegally positioned the HD-981 oil drilling rig.  He was on board the Vietnamese fisheries surveillance ship HP 926.  Chinese ships intentionally surrounded the ship and aggressively rammed into it to impede it from approaching the rig.

Danang Today would like to share with our readers some of his photos which capture the Chinese ships’ provocative actions.  The photos also reflect the strong determination of Viet Nam’s Marine Police and Fisheries Surveillance forces who are fulfilling their law enforcement missions in the Hoang Sa waters.
