By noon on Sunday, fishing boat DNa 90152 from Da Nang’s Thanh Khe District, which was capsized by a Chinese ship on 26 May, had been towed to a point 10 nautical miles off Da Nang by transport ship VT57.  It could not at that stage be towed closer to land due to the low tide.  The boat was handed over to fisheries surveillance ship KN 72 which later continued towing it towards land, but this was a tough mission because the fishing boat was upturned and almost totally submerged.

Danang Today would like to share with our readers some photos, taken by Da Nang Newspaper reporter Dac Manh, which show how the fishing boat was towed to land.

After anchoring about 1km off Da Nang Port, the boat was successfully righted.  Relevant agencies are now assessing and photographing the extent of the damage in order to collect evidence for denouncing the Chinese ship's aggressive action.
