Ngo Mon, Hien Nhon, Chuong Duc and Hoa Binh are the 4 most popular gates used by local residents, and for visitors to see, amongst the 13 gates into the Hue Imperial City.

Here are some photos of the 4 popular gates, taken by Da Nang photographer Le Tho.

Built in 1833 under the reign of Emperor Minh Mang, Ngo Mon Gate is the main entrance to the Hue Imperial City. In the past, it was reserved as the entrance for the Emperor or used during receptions for foreign envoys.
