Quan Thanh Temple, also known as Tran Vo or Quan Thanh Tran Vo Temple, is located near the West Lake in Ba Dinh District’s Quan Thanh Ward in Ha Noi.

The temple was built in the reign of Emperor Ly Thai To (1010 - 1028) to honour Huyen Thien Tran Vu, one of the 4 gods who had protected the entrances of Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

Here are some photos of the site, taken by our reporter Dang No during his recent visit to Ha Noi.

This bronze statue of Huyen Thien Tran Vu was cast in 1677 during the reign of Emperor Le Hy Tong. The statue features his square face, long beard, and hair untied. He is sitting, with a sword in his right hand, on a stone platform which is encircled by a snake and supported by a tortoise. This is a special work of art which demonstrates the skills of bronze casting and statue sculpturing in Ha Noi over 3 centuries ago.
