On Wednesday, over 300 military officers and men, and employees from the Viet Nam Maritime Administration, took part in an anti-terrorism practice at Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port.
In the hypothetical situation, a group of 5 strangers in work uniforms were found to carry a suitcase which was suspected of containing explosives through surveillance camera systems. Thanks to their professional skills, the port’s security forces quickly arrested the suspects and seized their weapons and explosives.
Meanwhile, 8 terrorist attackers carrying AK rifles hijacked an international cargo ship, with 20 crew members onboard, which was waiting for handling entry procedures. Some of crew members were shot dead, whilst the others were held hostages.
After receiving a report about terrorism-related case, relevant agencies immediately carried out rescue measures. After around 2 hours, the group of terrorists were arrested, whilst all the hostages were rescued.
Here are some photos taken at the practice by our reporter Dac Manh.
