DA NANG Today
Published: September 21, 2017

It took 8 months to develop Da Nang’s existing International Exhibition Fair Centre into the International Media Centre which is located at 9 Cach Mang Thang Tam.  The focus was on renovating 13,419m2 of the floor area, and refurbishing 131,009m2 of the landscape and technical infrastructure outside.

The renovation of the Centre uses low-carbon materials such as glasses, stones, concrete and wood, which helps to ensure high aesthetic and environmentally-friendly values of the Centre.

The 178.8 billion VND, 3-storey Centre can accommodate a total of over 2,000 journalists from domestic and international media agencies during the forthcoming APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW) which will take place in the city from 6 - 11 November.

The ground floor of the Centre features a reception hall, a security room, a medical room, a multi-functional room, a large press conference room and other utilities.

The 1st floor comprises a kitchen, a dining area, a medical room, a journalist room, a prayer room exclusively for foreign religious believers to practise their faiths, post and telecommunication service, and others.

In addition, there are 2 press conference rooms on the 2nd floor.  These rooms are equipped with tables, chairs, modern sound and lighting systems, bilingual interpretation devices, plus wired and wireless microphones.

Here are some photos of the Centre serving for the large-scale international event.
