The period between the rainy and dry seasons is the perfect time of year for travellers to explore the beauty of the Central Highlands and experience the vast swathes of wild flowers in full bloom. Most notable amongst them is ‘Da quy’ flowers (wild sunflower or Tithonia diversifolia) which begin to bloom in mid-October.
The Chu Dang Ya volcano has been named one of the 10 most attractive destinations in Gia Lai Province for this year by the Viet Nam Book of Records (Vietkings). In particular, this place is considered to be a ‘paradise’ of ‘Da quy’ flowers. The first-ever ‘Da Quy Flower- Chu Dang Ya Festival 2017 recently took place in the province’s Chu Pah District. This event drew a great deal of attention from both locals and visitors.
Da Nang Today would like to share with some photos of this special festival, taken by Da Nang photographer Huy Dang, a freelance photographer for DA NANG Newspaper.
