The Hai Van Pass, also known as Ai Van and May passes, lies at the geographical boundary between Da Nang and Thua Thien Hue Province. Located at around 500m above sea level, the pass is 20km in length, traversing a spur of the larger Annamite Range that juts into the East Sea.
