On the second night of the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2019 (DIFF) on Saturday, 8 June, the fireworks performance by Team Brazil was followed by H.C Pyrotechnics from Belgium.

Like the Brazilian team, the H.C Pyrotechnics team have participated in the DIFF for the first time. Therefore, all team members were very eager to compete in such large-scale fireworks competition.

Mr Cliff Hooge, the leader of the Belgian team, said his team’s performance had the theme of ‘The Greatest Show’. Inspired by the story of P. T. Barnum of the Barmum and Bailay Circus, their show aimed to pay tribute to the biggest show productions and performers who travel around the world to entertain and amaze thousands of spectators.

He added their show reflect all aspects of their constant moving life from the adrenaline rush on stage till the lonely moments away their family and the amazing reward you get from the audience.

Mr Hooge noted his team’s show was expected to touch the heart of the audience at different age groups.

Team H.C Pyrotechnics have won numerous outstanding achievements at international fireworks competitions over recent years.

In particular, they were crowned champions at the Festival International d’art Pyrotechnique Courchevel in France in 2018, and at the Zagreb International Fireworks Festival in Croatia in 2017.
