Zooming in/out is a fantastic photographic effect, adding movement and action to photos, and giving them an abstract quality. Virtually any subject can produce a striking zoom effect, but generally ones with plenty of colour and pattern work best. Taking photos of high buildings and bridges in the nighttime produces some beautiful, colourful streaks.

The zoom burst effect is perfectly suited to night time photography because of the long exposure times involved. It is highly recommended to use a tripod in order to keep the camera in place during the exposure, adjust shutter speeds between 15 – 30 seconds and avoid blurry images caused by camera shake. |
