The Mountain States (also known as the Mountain West or the Interior West) form one of the nine geographic divisions of the United States that are officially recognised by the United States Census Bureau. It is a sub-region of the Western United States. The Mountain States generally are considered to consist of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.
It’s that time of year when the temperature starts to drop, the leaves change colour, and change is in the air. During the fall, each state in the U.S. will experience its own special view of the season. Changing ash, hickory, maple, and oak trees make for postcard-like views in almost every state. It is ideal to relish in a lovely picnic under the vivid autumn maples or a crisp morning stroll surrounded by golden aspens of the Mountain West.
